Rippert takes a different route and invites 350 fourth-formers.

Herzebrock-Clarholz (br). Rippert Anlagentechnik has 307 employees plus 36 apprentices. That corresponds to a ratio of 11.7%. “A large number that you don’t find everywhere”, stresses training manager Jörg Dally. So that it remains that way in the future, the company from Clarholz has now established a school information day, to which 350 fourth-formers from the technical grammar and comprehensive schools in Herzebrock-Clarholz, Harsewinkel and Beelen had been invited. Buses rented by the Rippert company had picked up the pupils and their teachers from the schools and brought them to the company site. There, managing director Thomas Rippert welcomed the girls and boys in the loading hall, in which tables and benches – naturally painted by Rippert – had been set up especially for this purpose. The company has been planning, producing and installing coating plants for more than 40 years, as Thomas Rippert explained in a short welcoming speech. Whether Claas machines, Miele kitchens, ski or bicycle helmets: everything is painted by Rippert. The second business division is concerned with air pollution control. “We would be pleased to receive applications from you”, said Thomas Rippert, and he also referred to the possibility to take work experience training in his company. The pupils were subsequently taken in eleven smalls groups on a guided tour through the works by employees and apprentices, and sufficient time remained for pupils’ questions. A quiz in the loading hall followed, before the information day ended with a snack. All participants received a USB stick as a gift, which contained not only information about the company, but also tips for a successful job application. (Die Glocke 10/9/2011)
